What it does
- Full-size industrial humanoid, 1.76 metres tall with 52 joints, aimed at factories, logistics and data centres
- Walks to a station and changes its own battery pack in about three minutes, so a shift does not stop
- Two hours of walking or four hours standing between swaps, on dual 48 volt packs
- UBTech states a 15 kilogram payload across both arms and a camera-only stereo head with no depth sensor
- Already working on production lines at BYD, Geely, FAW-Volkswagen, Foxconn and SF Express in China
Reality check
UBTech has never published a list price and sells the Walker S2 on enterprise contracts and public tenders, almost all of them in China. We found no authorised UAE distributor. One online storefront serving the Gulf lists it at about AED 548,000 with stock subject to availability, but it does not claim to be an authorised dealer and we could not confirm a UAE entity behind it, so treat that figure as a listing rather than a price. This is a factory machine, so a buyer here carries integration, safety fencing and service with no local spares chain we could find. UBTech's own site refused our connection on the day, so the specifications come from the storefront listing and the maker's launch announcement.
