Which humanoid robots are actually in stock in the UAE?

That is the whole list of humanoids a private buyer or a company can order in the Emirates today and receive within a month. The Unitree H2, the full-size model at $29,900 (about AED 110,000) on Unitree's own store, is not yet listed by a UAE dealer; it can be imported, which we cover below. Robot dogs are a different category and a much longer list.

Why is a humanoid robot more expensive in Dubai than on the maker's site?

Because the dirham price includes things the US price does not. The G1 is $13,500 (AED 49,600) direct from Unitree's store. Bringing it in yourself adds shipping from China ($300 to $1,200 to the US, similar to the Gulf), 5 percent customs duty on the landed value and 5 percent VAT, which puts a self-imported G1 at roughly AED 56,000 to 59,000 as an estimate. The UAE retail price of AED 89,999 is therefore about AED 31,000 to 34,000 above landed cost.

What that premium buys: the robot this week rather than in a month or two, an official UAE warranty handled locally, a showroom where you can see it walk before paying, instalments through a UAE bank, and no customs paperwork or lithium-battery shipping problem on your side. For a business that needs the robot at an event in December, the premium is the price of certainty. For a research lab with a procurement office and time, importing is cheaper. Can a private person buy one, or only companies?

Anyone. E-CITY sells to individuals the way it sells a television, including instalments, and delivers to a home address anywhere in the Emirates. Ednex sells mostly to institutions, schools and companies but does not exclude individuals. Two practical differences for a home buyer: the base G1 and R1 have no software development kit, so you are buying a demonstration and content platform rather than a programmable machine, and neither is a certified household appliance, so the maker's safety guidance is the reference. Which humanoids are not for sale in the UAE, and when might they be?

The 1X NEO, the home humanoid at $20,000 (about AED 73,000) or $499 a month, takes pre-orders in the United States for 2026 delivery and has said international deliveries follow in 2027; the Emirates are not named. Tesla's Optimus has no external sales date anywhere. Figure, Agility Robotics and Apptronik sell to enterprises by quote, not through dealers. How do you choose between the two you can buy?

On the job. The R1 at AED 34,999 is compact (about 1.23 m, 29 kg), acrobatic and built for events, content and classrooms; the G1 at AED 89,999 is the full research-grade platform with 3D LiDAR, 7-DoF arms and about twice the runtime. If you need a talking greeter at a stand or a robot on camera, the R1 does it at a third of the price. If you need sensing, manipulation or a development path, the G1 is the only one of the two that offers it.
